Before you can install the dashboard you must remove the top pad from the factory dash. It's mounted with four screws in the ventilation opening at the top side. The dashboard must also be supported at the bottom area where the lower console is or still has to come. It's also wise to support the dashboard at both corners to prevent it from vibrating during driving.

Most people leave their factory dashboard in, in this case you must cut off the plastic part of the top front edge, else it's not possible to install the electronics into the Knight Rider dashboard.
